Group AGM

On Friday 15th July the group held an open evening and AGM for all members, supporters, and parents, to hear about the progress of the group, and to have a bit of fun too. We were joined at the AGM by the District Commissioner, John Sweeney, and District Scout Leader, Stephen Ellis.

The evening began with each section demonstrating some of the fun elements of the programme, with a selection of games – which the parents got very involved in. The scout section also, ran a greasy pole competition. Although, in the parent v leader contest, SL Simon sadly lost. Better luck next time.

Following an interval the section each gave a short presentation on some there recent activities, which included the Beavers recent sleepover, and the Cubs centenary camp. The final presentation of the evening was given by Explorer scout Laurie, who gave a report back on her adventure to the World Scout Jamboree, in Japan, last summer.
