The 27th Woolwich has always had a tradition of putting on a show. Fro their early days of putting on “the Groupsters”, to being an integral part of the Woolwich Gang Show throughout it’s history. Even now the group play a major role within the show as cast, back stage crew, wardrobe, sound & light, as well as the front of house team.

This year saw “Showtime” third show at Bexley Grammar School. Performing to packed audiences for four nights, our younger members really shone through, winning cast awards for their performances. Showtime involves all of the our youth sections, including the beavers. A big well done to James & Bibi, who performed fantastically in their item in the show.

In the main section of the cast we had five scouts, five explorers, and a leader. So well done to Holly, Kellie, Niamh, Alex, Felix, Polly, Sascha, Laurie, Lydia, Jay, and Simon.

But let us not forget all of our leaders and scouts that helped out in the various departments. So a big thank you to: Gracie, Georgie, Andrew, James, Anthony, Glenn, Barry, Lisa, Julie, Janet, Paul, Jo, and Claire.

A real team effort!

Gang shows are a fantastic and fun part of scouting’s programme. It helps to build confidence through the rehearsals and performance, and develops creative skills that scouts may have never had. It’s also a lot of fun!!!

Put your phone down and what are you left with? Just teamwork, courage and the skills to succeed.’
