At the 27th Woolwich we organise regular fundraising events, such as race nights and barn dances, to help fund the activities of the group, and to purchase equipment.
In addition to these events we have also set two other ways that you can help the group.
By registering for gift aid the group will be able to claim back the tax on the term subscriptions that you pay to the group. This works out as an extra £22.50 per scout per year! Please speak to one of leaders, for a link to complete the online declaration.
Did you know that whenever you buy anything online, you could be raising a free donation for us?
There are over 2,700 retailers on board ready to make a donation, including Amazon, John Lewis, Aviva, the trailine.com, and Sainsbury’s, any many more.
It’s really simple all you have to follow these three easy steps:
1. Join: Head to easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/27thwoolwichscout and sign up for free!
2. Shop: Every time you shop online, go to easyfundraising first, via the link in step 1, pick the retailer you want and start shopping.
3. Raise: After you’ve checked out, the retailer will make a donation to our scout group for no extra cost to you whatsoever!
There are no catches or hidden charges, and the 27th Woolwich Scout Group & Badgers ESU will be really grateful for your donations.
We also offer a range of activity wear to purchase. These items are an optional, but are great for use at camp, district competitions, and general activity use. All items are embroidered with our group logo, or with the Badgers ESU logo, and 5% of all sales of activity wear go directly to the group!!!
The items we currently have in our range include: polo shirts, beanies, baseball camp, zipped fleeces, hoodies, backpack, and PE kit bags.
